Hi. I have been gifted a lightly-used Lenovo x120e, 64 bit, with the E240 processor. It was super slow, the screen behaved oddly and it would crash often. It now has 6gb of RAM and I cleaned. Inside the X120e you’ll find a speedy 1.6GHz AMD Fusion processor, 4GB RAM and a 320GB hard drive. The first, and easiest upgrade, we made was installing an extra 2 GB stick of DDR3 RAM like this one from G.Skill. I’ve personally tested for compatibility with the X120e and it works great. Here you can see the two SO-DIMM slots. They are flat slots that will tilt into an angled slot for user access. Our X120e test system came equipped with the slightly faster E-350 CPU, 4GB of memory, and a 300GB, 7200-rpm hard drive. Those burlier components carried the X120e to a WorldBench 6 score.
